The Chamber's President pens op-ed: "The wrong time for costly new business mandates"

Today, the New York Daily News published an opinion article by Jessica Walker, President and CEO of the Manhattan Chamber of the Commerce. The article calls on the Governor to veto the New York Healthy Terminals Act, which would hurt the airline industry when it is already on the brink of collapse. The op-ed begins:
The economy is still reeling from the national shutdown that resulted from the COVID-19 pandemic, with the federal government recently reporting that nearly five years of economic growth was wiped away in a span of just three months.
Now, as political leaders in New York and elsewhere move to gradually reopen and get the economy back on track, they must adhere to one guiding principle given the nation’s fragile economic state: do no harm.
