Manhattan Chamber of Commerce Announces the Addition of Two New Board Members

NEW YORK – May 17, 2019 – Today, the Manhattan Chamber of Commerce announced the appointment of Jonathan L. Bing, Principal in the New York City and Albany, New York, offices of Jackson Lewis P.C., and Wendy Gonzalez, Product Marketing Manager at Google, to its Board of Directors.

“We are excited to welcome Wendy and Jonathan to our illustrious Board of Directors,” said Jessica Walker, President and CEO of the Manhattan Chamber. “The success of New York businesses requires bold, ambitious action, and, with the help of our Board of Directors, the Chamber is working to ensure that the businesses across New York City are given the opportunities and support necessary to thrive.”

About Jonathan L. Bing
Jonathan L. Bing is a Principal in the New York City and Albany, New York, offices of Jackson Lewis P.C. He is also Co-Leader of the firm's Government Relations Practice Group, and has an active role in the firm’s national hospitality law practice. Mr. Bing represents clients in a broad range of advocacy including advancing legislation in the New York State Legislature and New York City Council; securing funding from State and City budgets for non-profit organizations; and, advising on cutting through the “red tape” of government. Prior to Jackson Lewis, Mr. Bing served at the request of New York Governor Andrew Cuomo as the Special Deputy Superintendent in charge of the New York Liquidation Bureau, and previously was elected to five terms representing the East Side of Manhattan in the New York State Assembly where he authored three dozen New York State laws.

About Wendy Gonzalez
Wendy Gonzalez has over ten years of experience at Google, where she has focused the majority of her work on championing and supporting small businesses. She began her career in the digital advertising space, seeing firsthand the power of digital tools in helping small businesses to grow. She built upon this work by shifting her focus to initiatives that highlight and amplify the economic and community impact of web-enabled small businesses, including creating Google’s annual Economic Impact Report and helping to launch the Grow with Google program. Today she leads the development of go-to-market
strategies for Google’s small business campaigns in the United States.

Originally from Florida, and from a family of many small business owners, Wendy is a graduate of the University of Chicago and has called New York home since 2013. She is also a member of Community Board 4, serving on the ACES (Arts, Culture, Education, & Street Life) and BLP (Business Licenses & Permits) committees. She is dedicated to helping to build strong communities through building strong businesses.
