Manhattan Chamber of Commerce Announces the Addition of Two New Board Members

NEW YORK – January 22, 2019 – Today, the Manhattan Chamber of Commerce announced the appointment of Elizabeth Magennis, Executive Vice President and Chief Lending and Relationship Officer of ConnectOne Bank, and Mitti Liebersohn, President and Managing Director of Avison Young’s New York City operations, to its Board of Directors.

About Elizabeth Magennis
Elizabeth Magennis is the Executive Vice President and Chief Lending and Relationship Officer of ConnectOne Bank (Nasdaq: CNOB). Ms. Magennis holds over 27 years of experience in the banking industry, and is responsible for overseeing the entire bank’s lending activities, business development, retail banking, client management and revenue production.
She joined ConnectOne Bank in 2006 and has played an integral role in growing the company to a top-performing bank with over $6 billion in assets and nearly 30 locations across the New York and New Jersey markets. In his role as President & Managing Director of New York City Operations, Liebersohn is responsible for recruiting, business development, growing revenue and building strategic industry relationships to elevate Avison Young’s position in the New York City marketplace.
Prior to joining Avison Young, Liebersohn served as Vice Chairman at Jones Lang LaSalle for five years where he oversaw numerous national account portfolios. Before joining Jones Lang LaSalle in 2011, Liebersohn served as a Vice Chairman at Cushman & Wakefield, where he was named one of the company’s top 20 brokers internationally for 15 consecutive years.
Throughout his career, he has been instrumental in assisting many of the nation’s premier corporations in negotiating complex leasing transactions, and has demonstrated an expertise in the development and implementation of portfolio leasing strategies.
