Colleen Molter, QED National, Biography

Ms Molter has been providing technical solutions to Fortune 500 firms and government agencies for more than 25 years. As Founder and President of QED National, a professional Information Technology services firm, Colleen and her management team successfully deliver high end solutions and contractors consistently with the highest degree of professionalism. Her broad experience as a Technology Manager and Entrepreneur give her team the leadership that allows them to excel.

Colleen’s work history, prior to starting QED National in 1993 includes nine years of information technology management consulting, seven years experience teaching computer science and electrical engineering in the university system at both the graduate and undergraduate levels and eight years experience working for IBM as a systems engineer, data systems specialist and manager.

Her industry experience includes servicing large financial and governmental institutions with centralized and distributed IT installations and her skills in strong facilitation, project management, development and execution of technical systems design have provided the base for the growth and success of QED National.

For her accomplishments as a businesswomen and advocate for woman and minorities in business, Colleen was named the United States Small Business Administration, Region 2, “Women in Business Champion of the Year” in 2007.

Most recently, Colleen has been recognized by the Women Presidents’ Educational Organization with the “2008 President’s Award” for the NY area. Colleen has been recognized for her achievements in Technology and Business by WITI, the National Register’s WHO’S WHO in Executives and Professionals and by DiversityBusiness.com as one of the Top MWBEs (Minority and Women Business Enterprises) in NY State and across the United States.

In addition to her work at QED National, Colleen is devoted to improving opportunities and business successes for all MWBE’s. As a board member, she has chaired the Public Policy Committee for NAWBO-NYC and currently serves as New York City appointee on the Small Business Advisory Board where she chairs the Procurement Committee.
