Essex Restaurant (@EssexNYC) is the longest-standing Brunch Party in NYC as pioneers of the famous Bottomless Brunch. Soon to debut a NEW speakeasy in the Lower East Side, this iconic location is jump-starting a clear message for their location: ALL ARE WELCOME. This Drag Night at Essex event, 10 PM Saturday, June 25th, is set to jump-start a series of Drag events to support the LGBTQIA community in the performing arts, featuring major artist Nicky O and her team for PRIDE WEEKEND NYC. Nicky O (@nickyonyc) Nicky O is a New York-based drag queen and artist originally from Los Angeles. Known for her Pop Art, camp aesthetics, and infectious charisma, Nicky is one of Brooklyn drag’s most sought-after rising stars. She can be seen weekly at Snatched Brunch at the Standard High Line, Brooklyn’s 3 Dollar Bill, and Metro BBQ at Metropolitan Bar. Jo Disco (@jo.disco) Originally from California, Jo Disco has a long history of performance. From her beginnings as a recording artist to her current career as one of New York’s only drag DJs, Jo Disco is eye candy in the DJ booth. A seasoned performer and music expert, Jo is quickly making her mark on NYC drag. Julie J (@juliej_nyc) Julie J is an NYC-based drag entertainer originally from Fort Worth, Texas. With her utter charm, hosting ability, and unrivaled performance ability, Julie J has captivated audiences all over the city. She can be seen weekly at Snatched Brunch at the Standard High Line and at her monthly show “Sylvester” at Brooklyn’s Purgatory.
