Manhattan Chamber of Commerce Committees

 

EDUCATION COMMITTEE
The Education Committee of the Manhattan Chamber of Commerce seeks to create and promote opportunities to develop a well-educated, globally-minded, highly-skilled workforce and to equip entrepreneurs and business owners with the necessary skills to succeed through collaborative efforts among the Chamber, the business community, and local educational institutions.
 
To make possible networking and business opportunities for members who are interested in developing business globally through networking events, quarterly articles in the Manhattan Chamber of Commerce newsletters, special seminars, hosting delegations, etc.
 
The mission of the MCC Green Business Committee is to provide MCC members with a leading sustainability and environmental roadmap that acts as an up to date educational engine, resource guide and network to experts in the field. The purpose is to support members, make connections, save them time and expense, reduce their imprint, improve Their Triple bottom Line (People, Planet, Profits) and increase the loyalty of their staff, customers and overall image.   
 
GRANT DISBURSEMENT-Community Benefit Fund
Annually review Community Benefit Fund grant applications; allocate the financial support to each and set up the grant ceremony. Establishes other Manhattan Chamber of Commerce grants where feasible.
 
This committee is for the purpose of outreach to the LGBT business community.
 
TECHNOLOGY/DIGITAL MEDIA COMMITTEE
Mission of the committee is to support the further development of the Manhattan technology sector and to create an enabling environment for all technology businesses in Manhattan, regardless of size or technological focus 
 
VOLUNTEERS
Assists at MCC booth at Second and Third Avenue Fairs and at various NYC expos and MCC events 
 
WOMEN'S BUSINESS COMMITTEE   
To create a platform for women business owners and women executives through advocacy, mentoring, education and resource direction, to generate new business ideas; establish strategic alliances and partnerships; grow business globally, expand procurement opportunities; secure paid board seats; and reach pay equity status
 
The MCC YP Committee has been formed to address the challenges and support the growth of young professionals in Manhattan. The YPC's goals are to provide useful resources for young professionals (21-35 years old) while creating a sustainable and viable environment in Manhattan where young professionals can excel and grow.
