Climate & Weather

New York has a humid continental climate, with cold winters and hot, moist summers. Both snow and rain are common in winter and blizzards may occur occasionally. Spring in New York is pleasantly warm, and the weather heats up to temperatures of around 80°F to 90°F (25°C to 30°C) by mid-May. In the summer it normally gets swelteringly hot and humid.
