The Port Authority

Intro Port Authority

The Port Authority of NY & NJ (the Port Authority) recognizes the importance of developing minority, women-owned and small business enterprises (M/W/SBEs) as a means of encouraging regional economic development, creating jobs, and maintaining a competitive business environment. We have a longstanding pledge to assist these businesses and to promote workforce diversity in our business activities. As a result, the Port Authority certifies businesses in several categories. Certification is a process that ensures that a company is owned and controlled by a member of a minority group or woman. Once certified, your company will have access to Port Authority contracting opportunities and a full compliment of business assistance programs. Because many public agencies and private organizations recognize our certification, we have opened the door for Port Authority firms in accessing billions of dollars in contracting opportunities throughout the region.
