"Members-Only" Government Affairs Roundtable
The Chamber's 'members-only' Government Affairs Roundtable will meet on Friday, March 23rd from 8:30 am to 10:00 am. Our featured guest will be recently-elected City Council Member Carlina Rivera. Council Member Rivera represents the 2nd Council District, which includes the diverse neighborhoods of the East Village, Flatiron, Gramercy Park, Rose Hill, Kips Bay, Murray Hill and the Lower East Side. She was elected to office in 2017, and has established herself as a leader on many issues, including affordability, preservation, open space, resiliency, education equality, and small business survival. She is co-chair of the City Council's Women's Caucus, the Chair of the Committee on Hospitals, and serves on the Committees on Economic Development, Land Use, and Small Business, among others.
We will also receive a briefing from Jonathan L. Bing (Principal in the New York City and Albany offices of Jackson Lewis P.C., and former State Assemblyman) on the New York City Council’s newly-released package of legislation aimed at preventing sexual harassment in the workplace.
